una porta per venezia [1990]
Entry for an invited competition to redesign Piazzale Roma in Venice. The design is characterized by a thick wall with six gates that act as a boundary between the vehicular arrival to the city and subsequent pedestrian circulation. A monumental tower rises from behind the walls. The entry was awarded 2nd place and was exhibited at the 1990 Venice Biennale.
