Video Block

Editors can embed videos using YouTube or Vimeo. Video blocks can be placed directly into the content area, or within a layout block, such as a column block, in order to control placement.

YouTube block settings


To embed a YouTube video to your page, you must first upload the video to YouTube. If you don’t want your video to appear in YouTube public searches, set the privacy settings for the video to Unlisted. To do this:

  1. Sign in to your YouTube Studio account.
  2. Navigate to your list of uploaded videos.
  3. Click into the video you want to edit.
  4. On the right-hand side of your video detail page, click on the dropdown for your video’s Visibility setting. Choose Unlisted.
  5. Save your updates.

When you add the YouTube block to your page, you will be prompted to add the YouTube URL of the video you want to embed.

Setting Options:

  • YouTube URL: To embed your video, enter its YouTube URL into this field.
  • Video Size: Using the block toolbar, you can adjust the video to wide width or full width. A full width video will span the width of the browser window.

Vimeo block settings


When you add the Vimeo block to your page, you will be prompted to provide the Vimeo URL for the video you want to embed. You can find this by clicking the share button on the video in Vimeo.

Setting Options:

  • Vimeo URL: To embed your video, enter its Vimeo URL into this field.
  • Video Size: Using the block toolbar, you can adjust the video to wide width or full width. A full width video will span the width of the browser window.
